Minister Temmar to open electro 2010 in the presence of the German Ambassador on March 14
66 exhibitors from 11 countries present their latest technologies in Algiers

Good news: Mr Hamid Temmar, the Algerian minister of industry and investment promotion will officially open the 4th edition of electro, automation industrielle & energy on March 14, in the presence of the German Ambassador Dr. Matei I. Hoffmann as well as Mr Andreas Hergenröther, the general director of the German-Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Algiers (AHK Algérie) and the director general of Siemens Algeria, Mr Mohamed Benali-Khoudja.
With 66 exhibitors from 11 countries, electro, automation Industrielle & energy confirms its position as Algeria’s most important business platform for electro technology. Exhibitors present their innovations in the fields of modern, efficient and sustainable infrastructure in power transmission and distribution, building and industrial automation, electro-technology and lighting technology.
Organised by fairtrade, Algeria’s 4th International Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation and Energy Trade Fair, held for the first time under the patronage of the Algerian ministry of industry and investment promotion, is scheduled to take place at the Palais des Expositions Algiers - Safex from 14 to 17 March. An excellent occasion for the exhibitors to present plenty of technological innovations. More than 2,000 professional visitors are expected to participate.
This year, Germany is the Guest of Honour. This had been agreed by the CEO of the German-Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Algeria) in Algiers, Andreas Hergenröther, and Martin März, the managing director of fairtrade.
On the occasion of electro, automation industrielle & energy 2010, German exhibitors such as Dehn & Söhne, Heckert Solar, Hima, Igel Elektronik and Lapp Kabel (through Cablemat), Lenze, OBO Bettermann, Osram, Ritz and Siemens will present their innovations as a part of the German pavilion. In addition, AHK Algeria will be present with an information stand. The German-Algerian Conference on Energy Efficiency will be held on March 15.
As exports of electrical machines and appliances to Algeria are on a constant upswing, more and more leading companies Aksa, Chint, Eaton, Ingelec Cevielec and TBEA Hengyang Transformer, as well as official country pavilions from China, Italy - through the Italian Institute for Trade Promotion ICE -, Spain – with the support of the association AFME - and Turkey have signed up for this year’s event and will display newest technologies.
Last but not least: in June 2009, fairtrade has “earned the ‘UFI Approved Event’ quality label for electro, automation industrielle & energy as certification of the highest level of professional exhibition standards” (UFI The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry). All statistical data of the event have been audited by KPMG Algeria. Media partners include L’Actuel, Arab Oil & Gas Magazine, BiLatéral, Crescendo and Elektrokent-Perpa Magazine.
