Exhibitors were all smiles after four successful days with around four thousand visitors of the trade. The 2nd edition of electro, Automation Industrielle & energy 08 was the place to be in Algeria for all professionals of the industry.

Held at the Palais des Expositions in Algiers from 9 to 12 March, 2008, Algeria's 2nd International Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation and Energy Exhibition saw a strong presence of exhibitors, conference speakers, delegates and professional visitors. 70 leading international exhibitors (+40%) had confirmed their participation.

All the big names such as ABB, Aksa, Ansaldo Energia, Bergerat Monnoyeur, Chint, Ksaf / General Electric, Legrand, Osram, Phoenix Contact, Schneider, Siemens and others were present.

And the organisers proudly presented ABB, one of the world’s leading engineering companies, as Bronze Sponsor of the event. ABB is a leading power and automation technology company with strong market positions in its core, operating in more than 100 countries and employing about 112,000 people.

Italy was officially present with 10 Italian exhibitors. The Italian pavilion was organised by ICE, the Italian Institute for Trade Promotion. Also Turkey showed a strong presence of leading Turkish exhibitors, organised by fairtrade’s official agent for Turkey, Ipekyolu.

The exhibitors displayed their latest solutions and technologies in the fields of electro-technology, building automation, industrial automation and energy. They derived from 14 countries, namely Algeria, Austria, Belgium, China, Czech Rep., France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Lebanon, Poland, Switzerland, Tunisia and Turkey.

electro is Algeria’s top specialist international trade event, which brings together in one event all the fields pertaining to electro-technology, building automation and lighting. At Automation Industrielle, the focus lies on process automation, factory automation and industrial building automation. energy, the International Renewable and Conventional Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution Exhibition targets to contribute to this debate. Exhibitors demonstrated, how energy efficiency can be maximized across the entire production and supply chain.

Alongside the exhibition, a conference program took place, the “Journée d’Information”, a series of corporate technical presentations with the participation of top industry professionals.
